Grampa’s Prayer

This is a prayer that my Grampa used to say at meal times. I never really gave it much thought as a youth, other than feeling weirded out about having to hold hands and pray before we got to dig in, but I’ve recently realized how special and awesome this prayer is. It could also very easily be incorporated with “Our Mother in Earth” as well 🙂 So for my Grampa, who has passed into the Moonlit Gardens, I want to keep his prayer alive:

Our Father in Heaven
We thank thee for this food
Bless it to the nourishment of our bodies
Guide us and keep us throughout the day
Amen
